I was doing graphic design for years and began having health concerns from my sedentary lifestyle. I got certified as a personal trainer and began working out 5 days a week to improve my health. to a healthy lifestyle and help them find their groove in the gym! Exercise is one of those things that benefits you not only physically, but mentally. It’s a great way to relieve stress and elevate your mood.

I had struggled with my weight almost all my life. I had no idea how to get to my target weight or body fat percentage, and doing it on my own wasn’t working. It wasn’t until I got a personal trainer that I started reaching my fitness and nutritional goals. I then realized that I wanted to help others achieve their goals as well. Whether it’s losing body fat, gaining muscle, teaching you about nutrition, or helping you create a meal plan. Together we can accomplish these goals.

I grew up in Scottsbluff, NE and got my associates degree in Science. I started my fitness journey in high school and when I got pregnant I knew staying healthy was more important than ever. Not just for me, but for my daughter. My career in the medical field started me with the basics of healthcare and led me to obtaining my certification as a Health & Life Coach. I currently have an Associates degree in Health Science and currently I’m working on my Bachelor’s degree in sports management. One of my favorite perks of what I do is being able to see the clients progression as they become more confident through exercise and healthy life choices.

through my involvement in highschool sports, martial arts, and water sports. I chose to become a trainer to help guide and educate others in becoming the best version of themselves. I want to change the paradigm that as we age we are expected to become weaker and fragile. The human body is resilient and people are often stronger than they think. To me, exercise is medicine. Exercise will improve your mental, emotional, and physical well being. Exercise and movement can help people from all walks of life and ages in alleviating pain, preventing injuries, and prolonging life. Through my one on one sessions it is my goal to make a connection with each person on different levels. I have worked with people on completely different fitness levels and completely different goals. What I do with each of my clients is push them to a point they wouldn’t get to on their own. I want them to see their capabilities are much higher than they anticipated which inspires them to keep pushing and striving for new heights. I first gained an interest in fitness when I was 14 years old. This interest quickly developed into a passion and since then I have been dedicated to understanding the most effective and efficient way to develop the body; from increasing muscle mass to decreasing body fat through training and nutrition. This career path was an obvious choice for me and I’ve been told that I have natural ability to coach and motivate people. I grew up in a town close to Milwaukee, WI then moved to Iowa City in 2016 to obtain a B.A. in Exercise Science and Spanish from the University of Iowa. After graduating in 2019, I moved to Fremont, NE to attend Midland University where I received my MBA and worked as a graduate assistant Powerlifting coach. I’ve been personally competing in powerlifting for eight years. I love educating people about the body and helping them reach their goals through lifting and being active!

In high school I went from 100 pounds to 160 by taking four years of weightlifting, along with track, soccer, swimming, football and cross country. I decided if I could help myself get stronger and healthier, then I could help others reach their goals as well!

When I was little, sports and performance was a huge part of my life. I was very overweight and not confident in myself whatsoever. But I loved being active and always staying busy. Fitness has always been a huge motivator and passion of mine. It was my way of being able to cope with stress and obstacles in my path. I have always had a passion for helping people. I wanted to use my performance and fitness as a tool to help people reach their goals. If you can’t be physically strong, you won’t be mentally strong. Any way that I could help someone become one step closer to their goals and change their goals into standards, I did my job.

I always played sports as a kid and was always active. In my early 20’s I made a change. My weight dropped from 336 to 187 in under 2 years. Then I changed careers and began working at the gym and going back to school for Exercise Science at UNO. Julian Schmidt, a senior editor for Flex Magazine, was an early role model. He taught me a vast amount about bodybuilding and nutrition. Training under Rick and Julian has given me a wealth of knowledge I could never attain just going to school.

Fun Fact:
